The brief
This came in as a brief while I was at ID Africa, for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, during Nigeria's vaccine rollout. Two explainers: one on how the vaccine works and which ones were approved for use here, one on what happens to your body after the shot. Every claim on screen had to be sourced to NCDC or WHO.
The outcome
Two animated videos for the national rollout. 96 seconds on how the vaccine works and which seven are approved in Nigeria, then 35 seconds on side effects.
The second video
What to expect after your shot.
35 seconds on side effects. Tired, headache, nausea, fever, all mild and all over in a few days. Plus the part most people get wrong: feeling nothing does not mean it is not working.
